We will talking about top of the line, Kawasaki Teryx4 Special Edition.
The first thing you’re getting is well, just the graphics package, you’re getting this nice red bush bar up the front, it’s a sharp looking machine.
Other things that come along with the special edition packager, that’s a set of inch Maxis big horns
and behind, it is a set of fox performance series, piggyback shocks.
These do have adjustable threaded preload and then the clickers up for compression have
different settings so you can really dial in your shock performance exactly how you like.

You know, what one thing I should mention, that’s actually a steal, I’d call it an intrusion plate and this is something Kawasaki does on all of its models.
This is not unique to the special edition, but it’s something that was pointed out to me because a lot of side by side, still just use plastic right and if you’re cruising down the trail you were to hit a big stump or a tree with the branch.
Sticking out those things can go right through so I do appreciate.
The Kawasaki uses Steel in some of these, hard hit areas, so as we roll back the other things you’re going to notice on Kawasaki Teryx4 really nice seats, big supportive comfortable seats.
The bed it’s not much of a bed, to be honest, but it is just enough to bring a cooler, a gas tank and a tool kit.
The things you’re going to need for a trail ride is the attitude or sort of what this Kawasaki is meant for the Teryx is all about carrying people first and then adjust enough stuff to make sure you have a fun day on the trail.
Back Seats, talking about the back seats, so the engine actually lives next to back seats, in plastic shroud down this does intrude into my space just a little bit, Headroom in the rear because the roof rakes up like this so back to headroom’s not an issue the thing I really love, of course, is big bar.
It’s nice, wide nice and strong. You can hold on and then the actual quality of the seats they’re nice
and comfortable and squishy. This back seat, again, is not just for kids. Adults can legitimately ride back.
Skid Plate, as back seats go this is a good one, now thanks to our handy dandy truck ramp although I guess it’s a side-by-side ramp. We can look underneath this Kawasaki Terex. This skid plate
is actually plastic roll back a little further and one part is made of steel.
It’s interesting, mixed materials approach and I’m thinking that Kawasaki puts the steel
into the places, it knows are going to get hard hit and then the plastic in the spots where it’ll just get scraped.
There’s a scrape in the plastic right there didn’t really do much damage, in fact it doesn’t look that bad, all the scrapes into the steel skid plate they’ve exposed bare metal and it’s already starting to rust just a tiny bit, then I guess the other thing I should say, just in general the whole bottom of this machine is totally sealed up and I appreciate that as well there’s no part of it that is not covered by
some kind of skid plate now as we get further back that one’s steel as well at the rear end you’re also talking about steel and then of course there’s your full inch, two inch hitch receiver.
Looking at the a arms, I also appreciate you get these little guards here to protect your CV boots, those are just in the back and not actually in the front and then the other thing you might have noticed is Kawasaki left access to different bolts, of course, those are going to be for draining differentials
and draining your oil so they didn’t forget about the mechanics out there as.
The interior, first thing I’m going to point out it’s a little thing, but there’s only door handles on the
exterior of these doors once you’re inside you always have to reach over to
grab that door handle.
Now, the other thing this driver’s seat is adjustable, but not very much.
You only get about two inches of travel there, so this is really well.
You also have an adjustable steering wheel depending on your height, that is a nice feature.
First of all, grab handle for the passenger, that’s really well located and I personally like how the screen up sort of angled towards the driver, of course, that’s all the info that I need and then because we have to review on our website, the special edition, this is a full stereo system.
You can actually get FM, AM radio or you can hook up your phone, of course, to it using Bluetooth, using USB or auxiliary.
They actually have a spot for both of those ports right there too, so that’s kind of a nice feature as well.
